Faura Casas participated in the auditor's forum celebrated in Sitges.
The last days 2 and 3 of July, was celebrated in Sitges the XIX edition of the Auditor's Forum organized by the College of Censors of Jury Account of Catalonia, where they met more than 600 professionals to discuss and implement the common most current and relevant about Accounting and Auditing. The partner of the firm Jordi Casals, participated as a speaker at the roundtable on "new regulations for foundations and associations", where also was present the Head of the Economic Advisory Service of the Department of Justice Protectorate, Rafael Arderiu.

Faura-casas, participates and promotes an initiative to attract University talented graduates.
During a working day, students of last year in Economics and Accountancy have had the opportunity to know the real audit process in a company. This initiative promoted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Catalonia, has received the maximum support of the major academic institutions in Catalonia. For students, it was a good opportunity to work as auditors to verify that may allow them to develop a profession in which apply all the knowledge acquired in the careers of Economics, Business Administration and Business management.

Work Session FORMULATIONS OF MANAGEMENT AND FINANCE. The Faura-casas partners, Jordi Casals and Joan Pàmies participate the next May 7 at the journey organized by the union, an asssociation of health and social entities.
At the journey, they submit a report analyzing the ways for optimize the ability of the indebtedness of public and private providers of health care and care to recipients of public systems, and can allow those organizations to implement projects investment, financing and management. At the present time also experience the different alternatives.

The donor Vicenç Ferrer has been chosen catalan of the year.
We celebrate the election of Vicente Ferrer as catalan of the year award that recognizes its trajectory and its support and commitment to the poor.
Vicenç Ferrer is the founder president of the Foundation that bears his name and that of Faura Casas audited annual accounts.

The web Fiscalizacion.es publishes "La contabilidad de las Administraciones Locales".
It's really laudable activity that a firm like Faura-Casas devote time and money promoting publications on professional issues. Thus, the play "The accounts of local authorities' declared the intention to facilitate the study of the public budget and the implementation and greater knowledge of local accounting instruction. Also is an aims to become a practical working tool for local government officials who are responsible for the development of accounting, a reference where, for each of the thematic areas, they can find detailed analysis of the most relevant position on the controversial issues, and answers to questions that may arise, both in the reflection of accounting operations and transactions, as in the application of principles and criteria and the preparation of financial statements and annual accounts. Transcending global boundaries. Faura Casas, has participated in the meeting held in Cape Town by BKR, the global association of audit firms which it's attached to.
In this event has been found 154 delegates from 56 audit firms from around the world. The presentations this year have focused much on the environment and current situation in the political, economic and social rights, and how to affect it to the scope of business and what are the challenges and opportunities that can arise in these times of so much turbulence. These meetings are not useful and essential to be able to offer our clients advice that could help driving the success of their business activities in markets subject to constant change. Still have also shared the legislative changes, tax issues related to corporate social responsibility, which no doubt can afford to update the strategies in organizations and companies.

Joan Baptista Casas (Caldes de Montbuí, 1949) has become the dean of the College of Economists of Catalonia, in the position to replace Artur Saurí, who died last summer.

Auditor for one day.
Faura Casas, has been involved in organizing the conference "an Auditor for on day," inviting 3 students of economics and business to know the profession of auditor from within the company itself and witnessing an internet job audit at the home of a customer. The experience was very rewarding following assessments of the students themselves.

Faura-Casas in CSITAL.
The partners of Faura Casas, Daniel Faura and Joan Pamies, have participated the past 3 and 4 of April, as speakers at the Seminar on control and accounting in local, organized in Barcelona by CSITAL (Association of Secretaries, and Treasurers of Local Government) with the assistance of professionals throughout the state. The titles of the presentations were, respectively: "International Accounting Standards and their impact on the Public Sector Accounting" and "Auditing Procedures for sampling and in the area of Revenues".

ARCO MEDITERRANEO competitiveness in the global economy.
The Managing Partner of Faura-Casas, Joan B. Casas delivered a conference at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Girona. The title of the conference was: "Competitiveness of the Mediterranean Arc in the global economy".

Since the publication last July of the new Law Reform and Adjustment of the Mercantile Law accounting and the final outline will be the new General Accounting Plan, partners and managers of Faura Casas assuming the responsibility that belongs to them, have made progress on updating the content to include the reform already passed, actively involved as teachers delivering and courses and seminars for institutions and companies.

Our new web page is now available to which by further having included an innovation in its design we have updated the contents taking advantage of the latest technological advances and thus rendering it more accessible.
A fortnightly publication has also been included under the title “Info fc” which will be kept permanently updated.

The 1st Christian School Foundation conference took place on legal aspects involving contracts with agreed schools.
Where a multi-disciplinary team from Faura-Casas laid out the key aspects concerning the legal-private, tax and labour matters of the agreed schools.

“The transfer prices are those being fixed at carrying out the transactions (whether at delivering goods or furnishing services) among entities classified as linked. Therefore the transference price existence will require..."

Appointment of Mr. Daniel Faura as president of the new Public Sector Commission of the Spanish Chartered Accountants Institute.
This Commission integrating professionals from the Public Auditing and working at the Accounts Court, at the external autonomous Control Committee, at the General State Intervention and private auditing companies has the task to create a common meeting point of these professionals in order to deal with matters linked to the audit and transparency of the financial information of the public sector.

Faura-Casas at the Catalonia Economists Association: on the last elections of the Catalonia Economists Association, Mr. Joan B. Casas.
Managing partner of FAURA-CASAS has been elected as Vice-Dean. He will continue being the responsible of the Economy Classroom and of the Health Economy Commission to which Mrs. Mª Josep Arasa, partner of the company, has been incorporated as vice-president of the said commission.

Introduction of “The Local Administration Accountancy” book published by the FAURA-CASAS Editorial.
It took place on the 9th March last with the participation of Mr. Martí Carnicer, General Secretary of the Economy and Finance Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya, of the President of Secretaries, Inspectors and Local Administration Treasurers Association, Mr. Juan Ignacio Soto and two of the book’s authors Mr. Francisco Guardiola, Inspector at the Alicante Town Hall and Mr. Enrique Barreres head of the Accountancy Service and Financial Control of the Alicante County Council who all of them introduced the said work. During the act Mr. Martí Carnicer emphasized his interest in what could mean the improvement in the public funds management transparency and the need to have at hand analysis and data tools much more comprehensible for the public funds managers and citizens. Mr. Juan Ignacio Soto at his turn, outlined the effort and competitiveness of the professionals while also congratulating them for the notoriety and achieved success in this work. The authors, each of them, made a summary of the work’s chapters while reminding the preface interest of Mr. Vicente Montesinos professor at the Valencia University.

TARRAGONA TOWN COUNCIL
The Tarragona Town Council summoned a public tender to contract audits covering the 2005 and 2006 fiscal years involving the municipal companies. The contract resolving committee has awarded the 2005 and 2006 audit fiscal years to Faura-Casas in respect of five municipal companies, i.e. Tarragona Municipal Urban Transport Company; Tarragona Municipal Car Park; Municipal Initiatives, Promotion and Services Company; Municipal Economic Development Company and Tarragona Municipal Social Services Institute.

PREVENTION AND INTEGRAL SECURITY SCHOOL (Barcelona’s Autonomous University)
A professional team from Faura-Casas headed by its partner Mr. Pere Ruiz, take part on 27th, 28th February and 1st of March as speakers at the seminar organized by the EPSI-UAB about “Protection and Security Data in the Health Sector”. Since the 1999 published Law, Faura-Casas created a special Department to go together with companies and entities in order to apply the in force requirements. At present our intervention embraces more than 120 companies and entities related to the social and health field.
